The international operations of L&T Electrical & Automation business is about forging connections with new geographies and markets and making a mark with a host of offerings to mega projects in a variety of industry verticals. These operations cover electrical equipment manufacturing and supplies, electrical systems solutions and systems integration through automation solutions.

 

As part of its plan to strengthen its foothold in the Middle East region, L&T set up a manufacturing facility at Dammam under a joint venture with Saudi Arabia’s Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Group for manufacture, marketing and sales of Low and Medium Voltage Switchboards and related systems solutions, as well as allied products.

 

Thereafter, L&T acquired Medium Voltage Switchgear company, Tamco, in Malaysia along with its three subsidiaries. With this acquisition, L&T offers a comprehensive range of MV switchgear in international market.

 

The same year, L&T commenced operations at the Jabel Ali Free Zone for providing systems integration solutions in electrical and automation space in a variety of verticals as an extension to its operation base in India.
